The Team Red Lizard board elections are about to wrap up. Votes are due by the “member’s meeting”, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 15. But with snow in the forecast for Wednesday, we have decided to avoid encouraging people to drive and instead postpone the meeting by a week. So the meeting will now be held on Wednesday, January 22 at the Buffalo Gap. Meeting will start at 7:30, and all TRL members are welcome and encouraged to join. There will be an abbreviated board business meeting, with the most important item on the agenda being the ratification of the election results.
To encourage member turnout, this will be a member appreciation event – so the first beer is on the club. If you are interested in seeing some of the inner workings of the board and/or just want to hang out and enjoy a free beer, plan to be at the member’s meeting next Wednesday.
Since this is adds an extra week to the board elections, what this means is that:
1) the on-line election will still close this Tuesday (Jan 14). So if you plan to vote on-line, you need to do that by Tuesday.
2) voting by mail in ballot or in person means you can mail or hand in your ballot at the rescheduled meeting on January 22.
3) the current board will stay in place for an extra week, with the new board not being official until the board meeting when the election results get approved.
If you haven’t yet voted, there is still time. And even if you vote on-line, you can still join us at the member’s meeting on Wednesday, January 22.
